Ron Peters, Managing Director

Ron Peters CEO Outstanding CollectionsRon has had a long and distinguished career in the Australian debt recovery industry stretching over 40 years.

Between 1978 and 1986, Ron held successive positions managing the Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington offices of College Mercantile, culminating in his appointment as managing director.

At this time, College Mercantile was one of the largest privately owned debt recovery agencies in Australasia with 16 offices in Australia and 7 offices in New Zealand.

In 1986, Ron established the Australian operations of Baycorp Collections.

In 1988, Ron moved on to establish Mercantile Systems where he developed a unique software system for debt collection. The system proved hugely successful and was soon installed in every major collection agency in Australasia, as well as in law firms, insurance companies, retailers and banks.

In 1998, Ron was recognised for his entrepreneurship and service to the industry, receiving the NSW Small Business of the Year Award and later being runner-up in the Australian Small Business of the Year Award.

Since 2000, Ron has played a major part in the growth of Outstanding Collections. As managing director, he has led the team in improving procedures, systems and services – elevating the business to its prime position as a debt recovery agency for local government in NSW.

Ron attributes his success to treating people with understanding, patience and consideration – qualities he passes onto his staff.

Murray Crane, General Manager

Murray Crane, General Manager, Outstanding Collections NSWMurray has extensive experience in the debt collection industry in Australia with a career spanning over 25 years.

Between 1976 and 1988, he worked for College Mercantile, where he held the position of Collection Manager, managing local government accounts.

In 1988, following the sale of College Mercantile, Murray became the manager of the Sydney office of Australian Collection Bureau, helping grow the company to the point of having over 300 clients.

In 1996, Murray owned and operated Retrieval Debt Collection before amalgamating his business with Outstanding Collections in 2003.

As general manager, Murray oversees all aspects of the company’s business, with special attention paid to client relations, service and training.

Murray has extensive experience in all aspects of debt recovery, particularly in looking after the needs of local government accounts.

Priyanka Arora, Account Manager

Priya Arora, Account Manager, Outstanding CollectionsPriyanka is an excellent operator, brilliant communicator, and one of Outstanding Collections most experienced personnel. She has served the company successfully for four years and is invaluable for her comprehensive understanding of both the Civil Claims Act and the Local Government Act.

Priyanka also looks after Justice Link (electronic court document lodgement system) and is fully versed in all aspects of the software. She looks after the uploading and downloading of client data and is extremely efficient at ensuring that accounts are kept up to date.

Due to her knowledge of litigation and the Local Government Act, Priyanka is well placed to address debt issues relating to councils.
